James Heath Muse, 77, of Ferguson died Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Somerset City Hospital. He was ill ten days.

The son of the late Daniel Frank and Mary Catherine Heath Muse, he was born August 17, 1884 at Trimble and was married December 21, 1905, to Miss Emma Frances Hudson at Delmer. To this union six children were born. Mrs. Muse preceded him in death April 23, 1944.

Mr. Muse moved to Murphy Avenue in Ferguson from Trimble thirty-six years ago. He was a member of the Ferguson Methodist Church.

Survivors include the children, Terrell Muse, Ferguson, Jesse R. Muse, Lexington, Mrs. Delta Pryor, Mansfield, Ill., Mrs. Elta Phelps, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Evelyn Ellison, San Joe, Calif., and Daniel Muse, San Jose, Calif.; four half-brothers, Bob, Claude, Clarence, and Lonnie Muse, all of Somerset; and one stepsister, Mrs. C.C. Burton, Somerset; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. S.B. Rucker officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Nancy.

Somerset Undertaking Company was in charge of the arrangements.
