George Milton Ashcraft of Dallas, Texas, born October 2, 1941 in Maybelle, Arkansas and was received into God's arms March 8, 2014. He attended Crozier tech in Dallas, Texas and retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Lillie Ashcraft of Dallas; his sons, David Aguero of Dallas, Gary Ashcraft of Dallas and George Ashcraft, Jr. of Dallas; daughters, Victoria Noriega of Dallas and Michelle (Judge) Ashcraft-Simmons of Las Vegas, NV; step-daughters, Sarah Dyer of Cedar rapids, IA, Juanita (Rob) Davison of Tucson, AZ; step granddaughter, Jennifer (Adam) Clark of Oklahoma City & step-grandson, Zachery Clark of Oklahoma City. George loved God, his Country and his family. He especially thrived in his last few years in the joy of raising his two youngest children, David and Victoria – they were his world! He also cherished his friendship with George Crews who he considered his dearest friend. A good man, with a big heart, George always wanted to help people whenever and however he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. May he rest in peace.
Memorial Service is 10:00 AM, Friday march 14, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main Street, Duncanville, TX 75137. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday at Jaynes Memorial Chapel Following a cremation, George's ashes will be laid to rest at the Dallas Fort Worth national Cemetery.
