JANIE JAMAR ADA-Graveside services for Janie Louise Jamar, 84, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Mrs. Jamar died Monday, March 10, 2014 at a local nursing home. She was born December 5, 1929 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Charles Phelps and Lucy Belle Shelton Cates. She attended grade school at Sayre and graduated from Ada High School. She married Albert Melton Jamar on April 3, 1947 in Stratford. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2009. Mrs. Jamar was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Jana Johnson and her husband Darren of Rosea, MN, and Judy Wofford and her husband Willis of Sulphur; eight grandchildren, Dava Sanders and husband Mike of Ada, Cori Jo Mataska and husband Himey of Petrolia, TX, Sarah Collins of Lawton, Rachel Jamar, Kyle Collins of Denison, TX, and Bryce Johnson, Bryden Johnson and Benjamin Johnson, all of Rosea, MN; six great grandchildren, Braden and Kaleb Jamar, "Lil" Mike Collins, Raeley and Bekah Mataska, and Kyla Jamar; and several nieces and nephews.
