Evelyn G. Corle, 91, of Wilton died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wilton. The Rev. Brian Shepley will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Bev Reuter and vocalist, Henry Bentley. Pallbearers are Curt Long, Terry Ahrens, Bill Chapman, Keith Dice, Junior Kress, Paul Bollinger, Barry Cooling and Bob Jensen. Honorary pallbearers are George Nopoulos, Jack Kress, Harry Luethye and Don Birkofer. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Wilton. Visitations are 4-7 p.m. Friday, with a 4 p.m. rosary prayer service at the Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Corle was born on Jan. 6, 1910, in Cedar County, the daughter of Daniel and Bessie Wiggins McGee. She married Charley U. Corle Jan. 15, 1941, in Wilton.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Anna Corle of Wilton; a son, Charley Corle of Modesto, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Fisher and Marion Long; and a brother, Donald McGee.
