Mrs. Allen died Saturday, Oct. 26, at her daughters home near Milano.
She was born March 28, 1913, in Huntsville to Dave Edward and Annie Cecelia (McKeen) Baxter.
At age 6, she and her family moved to Rockdale and had lived in the Rockdale area for the past 94 years.
Mrs. Allen worked many years in restaurants as a waitress in Rockdale and Cameron at such places as A-1 Café, Singer Grill and the Texan.
She attended school in Hicks and Blackjack and, during World War II, she served in the Salvation Army in McAllen.
She married Roy Baggerly on Dec. 8, 1928. After his death, she married Ray Allen on July 13, 1963, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Allen attended Rockdale Christian Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Roy D. Baggerly and Ray Allen; two sons, Melvin Baggerly and Royce Baggerly; six brothers, James Lee, Tommie, Mike, Woodrow, Dave and Douglas Baxter; and four sisters, Katie Baxter, Ruby Langford, Celia Sellers, and E.D. Rogers.
Survivors are two daughters, Lula A. Lukens of Moody, Jessie Louise Morgan of Milano; and two sons, Roy Lee Baggerly of Gause, Joe N. Baggerly of Bryan; also, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clayton English, Cameron English, Amador Baggerly, David Baggerly, Joe Baggerly Jr., Lee Morgan, Ty Morgan and Roy D. Baggerly.
