HUSTISFORD- Adeline E. Degner, 78, of Hustisford, died on Wednesday, 26 June 1996, at Hartford Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford with the Rev Timothy Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Hustisford Cemetery.
The former Adeline E. Grimm was bon 14 October 1917 in the town of Hustisford, daughter of Herman and Lillian (Schuett) Grimm. On 28 December 1941, she married Ruben Degner at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Neosho. He preceded her in death on 24 October 1990.
Degner and her husband owned and operated Degner Electric in Hustisford and also the Gambles Store for many years. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, its ladies aid society, altar committee and shut-in visiting committee. She was a member and served as vice president of American Legion Post No. 420 Auxiliary, was a blood bank volunteer, and member of the Hustisford Woman's Club and Hustisford Senior Citizens Group. Degner was a former member of the Hustisford Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son Donald, Hustisford; two daughters; two grandchildren; her stepmother, Margaret Grimm of Neosho; a sister, Bernice Pieper of Iron Ridge; three half sisters. She is further preceded in death by her parents.
