Card of Thanks

We desire to return our thanks to the friends who have shown kindness to us in our affliction through the death of our mother,Mrs.George Pettus. The many expressions of sympathy and helpfulness extended us have touched our hearts and softened our grief. It is hours like this when hearts are crushed and loss seems irrepairable[sic],that true friends are our greatest need. The people of Weimar have endeared themselves to us in their quiet and unostentatious sympathy and thoughtfulness. With full hearts and profound gratefulness we make this public acknowledgment of our appreciation and thanks.May God's richest blessing be upon you and yours all the days of your lives.
Respectfully,
The family.
