LODI OFFICE OF THE MAIL, August 21.
Clarence Atwell formerly of Sacramento, died yesterday at the home of H.D. Shinn near Woodbridge after a lingering illness. Deceased was born at Charlotte, North Carolina, and was 26 years of age. He was married to Miss Bessie Shinn about eighteen months ago, and the young couple resided at Sacramento until his failing health compelled him to give up his work as an electrician. Besides the widow, he is survived by a baby daughter, Ruth. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the Shinn home, Rev. Wilhoit of Woodbridge officiating. Interment will be made in the Lodi cemetery.

ATWELL FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED
The funeral of the late Clarence Atwell took place Friday afternoon from the residence of his father-in-law, H. D. Shinn, west of Woodbridge.
Rev. Wilholte officiated and the pallbearers were H.N. Nolan, R.E. Clauson, Delbert Turner, Jack Nyhoff, George Bancroft and Walter Turner.
Interment was made in Woodbridge cemetery, where myriads of flowers were placed.
