Memorial services were held Aug. 21, 2010 in Simi Valley, Calif., for Bonnie Margaret Baldwin Warrington, who passed away Aug. 17 at Tarzana, Calif. Cancer Rehab Center after two years of bone cancer and a broken hip.

Her sons, Tracy and Virgil were with her, as was Joyce Warrington, Tracy’s wife, from Schertz, Texas, a major in the military, and a doctor. Virgil is a police officer in Valencia, Calif.

Bonnie was born in Portland, Ore. on Nov. 30, 1930, to Virgil Fay and Lillian Agnus Falconer Baldwin. The family moved back to Utah when Virgil joined his brothers in the Moab Garages & Transportation Co. Virgil had his garage in Green River, Utah until his death in 1961.

Bonnie went to grade school in Green River and attended four years at Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah – where she graduate in 1948. She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. after being the secretary at the Green River School under principal Lee F. Gledhill (1948-50).

She married Harry Wallace Warrington, who was stationed in Denver, on Jan. 22, 1956. They were transferred to Florida, where Tracy was born Nov. 15, 1956. Then the Warringtons were transferred to Ft. Lewis in Washington, where Harry Jr. was born Nov. 2, 1959. Virgil Dennis was born Jan. 2, 1961.

The family later moved to Simi Valley, Calif. Bonnie’s husband took a two-year overseas job and Bonnie raised their three sons. She became very active in civic affairs, including Boy Scouts, and Tracy and Virgil both obtained Eagle Scout rank under her guidance.

Her second son, Harry Jr., died July 4, 1993 in Las Vegas.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian, in 1936; her father, Virgil, in 1961; her aunt, Helen Falconer (who helped Virgil raise his two daughters) in 1984; grandson, Austin, 1999; and brother-in-law, Jesse Ekker, 1999.

She is survived by her two sons, Tracy (Joyce) Warrington, and Virgil Dennis (Amber) Warrington; granddaughter, Ashley Joe; her sister, Barbara Baldwin Ekker, Hanksville, Utah and her seven children; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is also survived by cousins, Dennis Baldwin (Barbara) of Denver; Jean Baldwin Boldt, Denver; Marjorie Baldwin Crouch, Texas; Peggy Vaughn Lawson, New Mexico; and the Falconer cousins in Oregon.
