Born in Port Aruthur, TX, he was a son of the late Dewey Leonard Gianelloni, Sr. and Olga Marie Goutirrez Gianelloni. He held over 80 positions as a contract mechanical engineer around the world, including the Netherlands and Libya, as well as numerous states including the North Slope of Alaska. He enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling, country music, trivia, movies and reading. Mr. Gianelloni was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Taylors.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Julie Gianelloni; one sister, Mary Turner; son, Dewey L. Gianelloni, III, his grandchildren, April and husband Brandon Burns, and his great-grandchildren, Levi and Lillie Burns; the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of daughter Donna Gianelloni Smith, Leisha Corter, Adam Beard, Kaelyn Hall, McKenzie Howard, and Madison Long; and the grandchild of son David Gianelloni, Chris Gianelloni; son, John Turner Shankle, grandchildren, Ashley Shankle Rafadini and Summer Allee, and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Zach; son, Lance Corporal Nicholas Gianelloni and wife Barbara Maxine, and grandson, Oliver Gianelloni; and son, Christopher Gianelloni and wife Christina.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gianelloni was preceded in death by five siblings, Thelma Wilson, Margaret Gibriano, Estelle Bowling, Dorothy Abbott, and Albert Gianelloni; one daughter, Donna Gianelloni Smith; and two sons, David and Michael Gianelloni.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with visitation prior from 10:00 am – 11:45 am.
