Albert Michael Roadruck, age 66 of Union Mills passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 9, 1947 in Gary, IN the son of the late Albert W. and Norma Jean (Granger) Roadruck. Al had worked for Triple J-Mar as a fuel truck driver and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wanatah and was a charter member of the Lincoln Twp. Fire Department in Thayer. Al enjoyed raising sheep, helping his grandsons in 4-H, fishing, and gardening. Most of all he loved spending his time with his grandsons.
On May 5, 1973 in DeMotte, Al married Ann E. Takacs who survives along with their children, Heather (Patrick) Ford of Union Mills, Michael Roadruck of Valparaiso, and Amy Roadruck of Mishawaka; 4 grandsons, Noah, Roman, Isaac, and Xavier Ford; and brother, David Roadruck of Florida. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Roadruck and sister, Gail Roahrig.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wanatah with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
