At the age of 12, after the death of her parents, she moved to St. Paul, with seven of her brothers and sisters.
Harriet graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1936. For many years she taught chemistry and physics in Chatfield, Hinckley and Anoka, MN.
On July 17, 1943, she married Donald Clark, who became a noted hockey administrator and historian. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1999. They lived in Anoka, Farmington, and Green Bay before moving to Cumberland in 1961.
She was an active member of Augustana Lutheran Church, at one time serving as Sunday School Superintendent, secretary of the church council, a member of the church library committee for 15 years and was active in WELCA, the women's organization. She also was treasurer of the Woman's Club for 15 years.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Clark of Cumberland, Tom Clark of Roseville,MN and John (Marilyn) Clark of lnver Grove Heights, MN.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM Monday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Cumberland with Rev. David Halaas officiating.
Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland. Pallbearers were Lauren Nelson, Bob Hausmann, Mervin Olson, Bud Erickson, Gene Hopkins, and Joe DeNucci. Funeral service arrangements were handled by Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland.
