Cordie was born in Creek Nation, Indian Territory to Laura Ellen (Goodin) and William Monroe Nance shortly after the family migrated to from Missouri. Cordie married Virgil Edward Bullock. They homesteaded in rural Bixby, Oklahoma. Their children are: Dortha/Dorthea Eleanor Bullock; Harold Edward Bullock; Virgil Orville Bullock; Theda Bullock; Agnes Dormalee Bullock; Velora Bullock; Velta Bullock; Dwight L. Bullock; and Lyndal Bullock. Except for Dormalee who died as an infant, Cordie lived to see all her children grown, married, and with their own families. She and Virgil were pioneer farmers in the Bixby area. Cordie was always whistling or singing. She was a sweet, hard-working and generous person, and dearly loved by her family and friends. She was a faithful member of her church, and recognized as a prayer warrior who selflessly helped others. She devoted much of her time to teaching Sunday School and doing mission work for her church.
