Milan William "Chick" Cikovich, 85, of Fairmont passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Tygart Center Fairmont Campus.

He was born in Baxter on September 9, 1928, a son of the late Jim and Mary (Serina) Cikovich.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Maxine (Hennen) Cikovich in April 2008.

Chick proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He was owner and operator of Chick's Bargain Center in Fairmont for 58 years having stores at six different locations in town. He was a generous and humble man that was a real people person. He was special because his customers were always first. Working and family was his life. He enjoyed watching wildlife, boxing, gardening and was an avid WVU fan.

He is survived by one son, Milan "Rocky" Cikovich and his wife Susan of Fairmont, two daughters, Christine Park and her companion Jason Moyer of Fairmont and Francine Cikovich of Fairmont, five grandchildren, Tyler Park, Alec Moyer, McKenzie Moyer, Shelly Snider and her husband Shane and Bob Conrad and his wife Tricia and one great grandchild, Scott Conrad.

Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Joe Muto and his wife Deborah, Phillip Aloi, Tony Aloi, Nicki Aloi and Jannette Aloi.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Phillip Malashanko and his sister, Kathryn Aloi.

Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont where flag folding honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Council Honor Guard.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Dottie Carpenter, Cookie Carpenter, Loretta Dulaney and Jason Moyer for all of their wonderful and loving care.
