Leon enlisted in the Navy in December 1939 and served until after 1953. He was a SFC. He served aboard the USS Argonne (AP-4/AS-10/AG-31), 1942-1943, the USS Savo Island (CVE-78), 1943-1945), and the USS Springfield (CL-66), 1946-1947

He married Ruby Ruth Fields on Oct 8, 1945 in Texas.

Together they had two daughters, Bethel and Gale.

Leon and Ruby divorced.

Leon was buried with military honors but the veterans cemetery where he rests is unknown at this time.

Leon was my uncle. Married to my Aunt Ruby who is my Mothers sister.
