Injuries fatal to A. C. Eslinger
Injuries received several days ago by Absalom C. Eslinger, a farmer living on the Jacob Harsch farm west of Ottumwa, proved fatal yesterday. Mr Eslinger died in St. Joseph hospital, where he had been taken for surgical attention after the accident. In hauling baled straw he fell from the wagon and a wheel passed over his abdomen. The deceased was 39 years old and is survived by his wife, daughter Genevieve and mother, Mrs. F. M. Chapman. Mr. Eslinger was a member of the A. O. U. W. The body has been removed to the Henry Mungoven home, 615 East Main Street.
The funeral cortège will leave the Mungovern home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon and at 3 o'clock the services will be held in St. Patrick's church with Rev. Father H. J. Hogan in charge. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery with the A. O. U. W. In charge at the grave.
