Henry was born in Chelmsford, Essex, England to Thomas Bundock and Priscilla of Moulsham. Henry arrived in the U.S. in 1851 on the Artic. The passenger list records his destination as Vermont, but he moves to Van Buren County, Iowa. It is here, in 1857, that he marries Elizabeth Green. Together, the couple have eight children - Ellen, Willie, Jane, Sidney, Rose Mary, Harriet, Louis, and Alice.
The family moves to Madison County, Illinois and onto Alameda County, California before, finally, settling in Sacramento, California. Henry was a potter, by trade, as was his brother, Samuel Frederick, who also immigrated to the U.S. in 1855 with his son, Henry. It is believed that Henry and Samuel may have worked together in the Pottery business in both Illinois and California. (Bio info from Carol H. June 2015 - thanks).

The Bundock Estate.

Elizabeth Bundock has petitioned the Superior Court for letters of administration on the estate of Henry Bundock, deceased. The estate consists of thirty acres of farming land about four miles east of this city, valued at $4,500, and a lot of household furniture, about four tons of hay, a horse and a cow.
