He was the son of Peter Jones Sr and Elizabeth Lycon. His death year was taken from his will which was proved in 1772.

The Peter Jones house was built in 1772 for or by Peter Jones. His will was drawn 29 May 1772 and probated 1 Feb 1773 (as spelled and capitalized in the original.)

I give and Bequeath unto my well beloved wife Ruth Jones the front Room in my new Dwelling House for her one Use to Live in as Long as she Remains my widow and my said Wife shall have Liberty of Part of the Cellar under my dwelling House as much as she shall want. I Bequeath and Devise unto my Eldest Son Peter Jones my Tenement Plantation and Tract of Land whereon I now Live Computed to be about one Hundred and Fifty Acres with all the Buildings and Every of the Appurtenances whatsoever there unto Belonging (Excepting the Liberty and Privileges Herein before Given and Bequeathed to my wife). I Give Bequeath and Devise unto my Youngest Son Ezeciel [sic] my Back Plantation whereon Lenhart Heilman Now Liveth to be to contain Eighty Acres of Land and Twenty Acres of Clear Land out of the Back field of my Plantation whereon I now Live from the time he Erives to the Age of Twenty one Years and from thence forwards forever.

In the will drawn 29 May 1772 the house is referred to as my new dwelling house, so it was completed by then.
