Edd Millard Alexander Jr., 88, passed away at Integris Grove General Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Edd was born on Dec. 29, 1925 in Fresno, Calif. to Edd M. Alexander Sr. and Ethel (Newman) Alexander. Mr. Alexander attained his Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma A&M and then his masters degree from Central State University.

He married Ruela Wilson on Aug. 10, 1950 in BellAire, Mich. He worked for the state health department as a TB lab tech, then worked at the Addy McBride Rehabillitation Center for the Blind in Jackson, Miss. He was a member of the Lions Club when they lived in Mississippi, he enjoyed history and like to read brail science magazines.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in passing by his parents Edd and Ethel and his wife Ruela Alexander who passed away in 2008.

Survivors include his son Mark and his wife Karen of Fairland, his daughter Nancylee Campbell and her husband AB of Charleston, S.C., a sister Helen Parker of Allen, Texas, his grandchildren Jay Alexander of Celina, Texas, Jill Alexander of Dallas, Texas, Jordan Alexander of Tahlequah, Okla., James Campbell of Asheville, N.C., Johnathan Campbell and his wife Ryan of Great Lakes, Ill., and Ruth Mank and her husband Michael of Ashburn, Va., along with two great grand children Joseph Mank and Timothy Mank.

There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
