David Cromwell Arnold, 58, 2566-6th East, died Wednesday at 10:10 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital after a lingering illness.
Mr. Arnold was a retired sheet metal worker for Utah Copper Co.
Born July 7, 1891, in Murray, he was a son of James and Nichalena Nelson Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He married Nettie Mayne in Farmington in 1917.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his widow; a son, David Clyde Arnold, Salt Lake City; a stepson, Eddie Stevens, Yost, Box Elder county; a foster son, Daniel O. Corbett, Salt Lake City; four daughters. Mrs. Verna Selman, Santa Ana. Cal.; Mrs. Mae Roberts, Mrs. Rosa Belle Arnold, and Mrs. Vodis Grow, Salt Lake City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Audrey Birdneau, Salt Lake City, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday noon in Nibley Park LDS ward chapel, 2450-6th East. Friends may call at 125 N. Main Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the family residence Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Murray city cemetery under direction of the D A V.
