OBITUARY-
AUSTIN -- Gladys Allgood, 83, of 200 First Ave. N.E., died Thursday (Dec. 31, 1992) at her home.
Born Gladys Arndt on Aug. 22, 1909, in Fenwood, Wis., she graduated from Abbotts Ford High School in Abbotts Ford, Wis. She attended beauty college in Minneapolis, moving to Austin in 1928. She married Clarence Feeney on July 13, 1936, in Northwood, Iowa, and the couple resided in California. He preceded her in death in 1946, and she returned to Austin.
On Nov. 13, 1958, she married Billie Allgood and has since resided in the Austin area. Mr. Allgood died in 1984.
Survivors include two stepsons, Jimmie D. Allgood of Austin and Carroll Allgood of St. Louis Park; a daughter, Billie Flora (Mrs. Milton) Scogin of Pleasanton, Tex.; a sister, Leone Moses of Austin; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Jack Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Friends may call at Clasen-Jordan Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and an hour before services at the church.
