Death of Mr. O. H. Frost
At the Residence of His Daughter in Garrett county
Mr. Orman H. Frost, of this city, died Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home of a married daughter in the village of New Germany, Garrett County. Mr. Frost had been traveling through Garrett county in the capacity of agent for a nursery and was stopping at his daughter’s home with the intention of calling upon the farmers in that neighborhood.  He was taken ill rather suddenly in the first part of this week and not being in robust health when seized his enfeebled constitution gave way and death resulted.  Mr. Frost was about 74 years old and was born in Frostburg that town having been named after his ancestors.  Mr. Frost was a prominent farmer in his earlier days but he retired from that business some 25 years ago and since then has been dealing in timber and following various other employments.  He resided at 54 North Lee Street and is survived by a widow and six grown daughters and one son. His son is Mr. Joseph Frost, of Braddock, Pa.  The body of Mr. Frost was brought to Cumberland from Frostburg this afternoon on the C & P train and conveyed to his home on North Lee street. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning with services at St. Patrick's church. (Courtesy of Pat Dailey)
