James Elmer Cohoon, of Cazenovia, Wisconsin, passed away at the age of 89 years 5 months 15 days, on Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Sauk County Health Care Center, Reedsburg. He was born on September 16, 1924, in Lime Ridge, Wisconsin, the son of Arthur and Ruth (Tyler) Cohoon.
While in the Army Air Corps he married Armilda Rasque on May 28, 1943.
Jim was a skilled cabinet maker and carpenter. He worked in the area many years while raising a family. He served the community of Cazenovia as Fire Chief for many years.
Jim was a Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion for over 50 years where he served in numerous positions at the local post #491.
He really enjoyed fishing in any season and traveling.
He was preceded in death by:

We honor his life with a funeral service on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 12:00 noon in the Farber Funeral Chapel in Cazenovia with Pastor Joseph Corbin officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon.
Burial will follow in the Cazenovia Hillside Cemetery.
