Rev. Charles E. Killingsworth ,81, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.

Rev. Killingsworth was born July 12, 1931 in Chase, LA to parents Ludie and Almon Killingsworth. He married Irene Harper in 1951 and served in the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. It was there he would receive his call to the ministry and preached his first message. He and his family moved to Gautier in 1971 and began Gautier United Pentecostal Church now, Turning Point UPC. He served as a minister in the United Pentecostal Church International for 58 years serving in many capacities including Presbyter for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lavon, Cecil, and Rev. G. C. Killingsworth; two nieces, Debra Killingsworth and Pam Green; a nephew, Mark Killingsworth and a great-grandchild, Bella Irene Ward.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene Harper Killingsworth of Gautier; three children, Donnis Irene Ely, of Gautier, Donald ( Debra) Killingsworth of Pascagoula, Rev. Derrick ( Teresa) Killingsworth of Gautier; daughter-in law, Ginger Killingsworth of Pascagoula; two brothers, Billy ( Vera) Killingsworth of Escatawpa, Michael (Nancy) Killingsworth of Biloxi; sister's- in- law , Bettie Ruth Killingsworth of Gautier and Hilde Killingsworth of Pascagoula; 12 grandchildren, Amanda Wallace (Jerry Duke), Greta Guthans (Joshua), Sara Ely, Marvin Ely, Charles Killingsworth (Alisa), Mikel Ely, Rachael Ward (Joshua), Brent Killingsworth (Ashley), Jerry Killingsworth (Haley), Joshua Killingsworth, A'livia Killingsworth, Mitchell Brantley (Jessica) and 14 great-grandchildren , numerous nieces , nephews, Turning Point family and host of other friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 3:00-6:00 pm at Sanctuary Pentecostal Church , 1305 Ingalls Ave, Pascagoula, MS .Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm.
