Robert L. 'Bob' Cook, 86, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, Kansas. He was born June 29, 1927 on the family farm near Agra, OK, the son of Clarence and Dora Belle (Honea) Cook. On June 14, 1948 he married Fontella I. Helsel at Dalhart, TX. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2008.

He had served as a Medic in the Army Air Corps from 1945-46. When Bob retired from Ninnescah Rural Electric Co., he started his own company, Fonco Electric. He was a member of the Glendale United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #98 of Isabel, KS, Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #265 of Pratt, KS, Wichita Scottish Rite, Midian Shrine of Wichita, KS, and B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1451 of Pratt. He had served as past Grand Master of Kilwinning Masonic Lodge in Pratt.

He is survived by a son, Don & Mary Cook of Medicine Lodge, KS, a daughter, Cynthia & Larry Wilson of Greenfield, MO, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Rosena Helsel of Great Bend, KS and Twiella Daugherty of Fortuna, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Ray Cook and a sister, Evelyn Cook.

Visitaiton will be from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS 67124. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, KS with John Hamm presiding. Burial will be in Iuka Cemetery, Iuka, KS.

Memorials may be made to the Glendale United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary.
