RUSK — Funeral services for Sammy Senesac, age 69, of Rusk are scheduled

for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Darin Wood and Rev. Bruce Webb officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.

Mr. Senesac passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Hospice of East Texas.

Sammy was born December 28, 1944 in Liberty, Texas to Nolan and Libby Senesac. He was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville. There he served as a Sunday school teacher for 35 years. Sam was a sergeant in the United States Army. He met and married Saundra Taylor Senesac in 1969 in Commerce, TX, immediately being stationed to West Point, New York. Sam retired from Center Point Energy, owned the Jacksonville Flower Shop, worked for Bob Francis Ford and later employed by ABC Auto Parts. He was president of the Jacksonville Riders Club and member of the Lions Club. Sammy worked for the Center Point Energy Gas Company for many years as a Serviceman in Tyler and Jacksonville, Texas. Sam loved to play golf, softball, ride horses, coach little league, vacation with his family on special trips to the beach, and cruise the Caribbean with his soul mate.

In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by brothers, David and Glenn Senesac.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Saundra Taylor Senesac of Rusk; daughter DeLana Shanta Lindsey and husband Michael of Jacksonville; sister Karen Langston and husband Les of Mixon; Grandchildren, Ty and Justin Lindsey of Jacksonville; niece, Jo Lynn Williams and husband Eric and great nephews Brody and Beau of Latham, NY; niece Brooke Ranshaw and husband Matt and great niece Lynnlee of Troup; and nephew Will Langston of Mixon.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lindsey, Les Langston, Will Langston, David "Chief" Bridges, Joe Bixler, David Reynolds, Jerry Black, Lewis Holcomb and Frank Perti.

Rather than the customary condolences, memorials in memory of Sammy may be made to Hospice of East Texas 4111 University Drive, Tyler, Texas 75701.

Visitation will at Central Baptist Church, Wednesday March 5, 2014 from 1 until service time only.
