John Brown, son of John and Maria A. Brown, was born June 17, 1884 in Cuba, Kan., and died January 23, 1966, at the age of 82.
He was united to Blanche McCarty on October 3, 1906, who preceded him in death. July 16, 1944, he married Harriet M. Stransky.
He lived in Munden for many years, moving to Junction City in 1939 where he was a carpenter and contractor.
Those surviving are his wife, Harriet, of the home; two sons, Harold of Waukee, Iowa, and Glen of Junction City; daughter, Wanda of Midland Park, N.J.; two step sons, Rex Stransky, Munden and Leonard, Buffalo, Mo.; one sister, Mary Kasparek, Sidney, Neb.; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services were held January 26 at the Munden Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Henry Grusing. Internment was in the Hawks Cemetery near Cuba.
