Betty Eades, 89, of Rockville, Indiana died 6:40 pm Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Rockville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She had been employed with Insley Pharmacy and Gift Shop in Rockville, Kingman IGA and a Cook for Tangier School. She was born November 25, 1922 in Parke County, Indiana to the late Burchard Cox and Ruth Norris Cox. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Gene McMasters and Arnet Eades.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Gilberta) Yater of Rockville, Indiana; two brothers, Jerry Cox of Somerset, Kentucky and Richard Cox of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Cox. She was a member of the Tangier ladies aid.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 W. Howard Street Rockville, with Pastor Gene Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Tangier Cemetery in Tangier. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Wednesday at Gooch Funeral Home.
