Alice Ruth Cain age 80 of Garland, was born August 10, 1933 in Holly Springs, Arkansas to Sam and Nora Williams. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, February 28, 2014. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and was an active member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years James Alton Cain II; grandson, Perry Thompson. She is survived by her children, Debra Ann Thompson, James Alton Cain III, Michael David Cain and wife, Melina, Gary Scott Cain; daughter-in-law, Diane Cain; grandchildren, Kelly Thompson, Lauren Desai and husband, Dillon, Caitlyn, Connor, Christian and Athena Cain; brother, Richard Williams and wife, Barbara; sister, Wanda Wood and husband, Rex. Family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Williams. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas.
