ELLINWOOD - John P. Doll, 85, died. Tuesday at Woodhaven.
Born March 11, 1890, at Ellinwood, he married Anna Habiger, July 25,
1911, at St. Peter and Paul. She died July 24, 1916. Then he married Margaret Schartz, Oct. 27, 1931, at Wichita.
He was a retired farmer and a lifetime Barton resident.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus No. 1187; 3rd and 4th Degree Knight; former member of
Ellinwood School Board.
Survivors are the widow; sons: Melvin, Ellinwood; Marvin, Great Bend; John Franklin, Chase; daughter: Mrs. Gaylord Shipley, Deer Creek, Okla.; brother: Fred, Wright; sisters: Louise and Eleanor Doll, Ellinwood; 17 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren.
Rosaries will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kimple Funeral Home and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the church; Father James Kelly. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery.
