Freda F. (Mrs. George) Rambo, 66, of 11355 Ossineke Road, Ossineke, died Tuesday at noon at (Aug. 28) at Provincial House.

The former Frieda Krueger was born July 27, 1913 in Alpena and had been a lifelong resident of the county.

She married Waverly Brown Dec. 24, 1940 in Detroit. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 1964. Her second marriage was to George Rambo Dec. 29, 1968. He preceded her in death March 18, 1972.

Mrs. Rambo owned and operated a gift shop on US-23-N for several years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Alpena and Ossineke Senior Citizens Organization.

Surviving are a step-son, Robert Rambo of the Virgin Islands; two sisters, Anne (Mrs. Aksel) Olson and Mildred (Mrs. Edward) Pugh of Alpena; three nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Rambo's body is at Wachterhauser Funeral Home where friends may call until 11:45 a.m. Friday when her body will be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church for funeral at 2 p.m., the Rev. David M. Nickel officiating. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials: Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Cancer Fund.
