Sutton Moore of Fish Creek died at his home last Thursday morning from Erysipelas, first stating from a small burn. His age was 80 years. He served through the civil war and has been a faithful member of the church for many years.
He was buried beside his wife, Amanda, who died last December, the 13th, from heart trouble, age 69 years.
Rev. Harvey Johnston preached the funeral of both at the graveyard last Friday evening. A very large crowd was present. Mr. Moore leaves a brother, three sons and five daughters to mourn his loss, beside many friends and other relatives. The church and Sunday School has lost one of its best and most attentive members, and the community one of its best neighbors.
