Obituary: Mrs. Myrtie Krier

Mrs. Myrtie Krier, died Sunday evening Apr. 27, 1975 in Mt. San Rafael Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Krier, a former Huerfano [resident], had made her home in Trinidad for the last 12 years. She was the wife of Ernest P. Krier, who operated a dry goods store in Walsenburg until his death in 1949. Born Dec. 13, 1884 in Kansas, she came to Walsenburg in 1908 as a bride. She was the mother of Charles Krier of Big Springs Tex., Ernest Krier of Denver and Robert Krier of Castle Rock; sister of James Buckles of Okla. City, Ok., and grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter. Mrs. Krier was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Tabernacle Society. Scripture Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Mass of the Resurrection was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church and burial was in St. Mary South Cemetery. Furphy-Lawson Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
