Betty N. Miller, 79, Johnstown, died Feb. 20, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
Born Feb. 25, 1934, in Bellevue, Pa., daughter of Ralph and Edith (Mangus) Merritt.
Preceded in death by parents; beloved stepfather, Elneth S. Frye; brother, Buddy; and grandson, David Gregory. Survived by husband of 40 years, Daniel A. Miller; daughter, Linda Pfeil, Orlando, Fla.; son, Brian Gregory, married to Carolyn (Mikolic); and precious grandson, Vaughn, Martinsburg, W.Va.; siblings, Bonnie Litzinger, Sandra Primel, Barry Frye and Emma Jo Myers; first husband, William F. Gregory; cherished best friends, Fay Holbay and Kathy McCreary; also her precious dog, Willie.
Betty enjoyed fishing and spending time at the family cottage. She loved spending time with her grandson. She was a very talented artist and creative oil painter. Betty was previously a manager and a paramedic for 7th Ward Ambulance Service.
Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.
Member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Monday, the Very Rev. James S. Crookston.
Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105; or the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Drive Ext., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
