Benny Wayne Hazelrig, 44 of Arab died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Hazelrig was born January 1, 1970 in Jefferson County, the son of Kenneth E. and Sarah L. Hazelrig. He was a former resident of the Swearengin Community of Grant, Alabama and was of the Holiness Faith. He has called Arab his home since 1984.
He was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1988 and earned an Associate Business Management Degree from Wallace State Community College. He was employed as a parts expediter with the Sanmina SCI Company.
He and the former Tammy Daugette have been married 14 years. His hobby's included watching Alabama Football games, racquet ball and basket ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery, Swearengin Community, Grant, Alabama.
