Felipita Herrera, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM with her daughter, Diane and granddaughter, Natalie by her side.
Felipita was born on July 2, 1934 in Cuba, NM to Frederico and Isabel Váldez.
Felipita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Zebedeo Herrera, parents, Frederico and Isabel Váldez, brothers, Rubel Váldez and Mauricio Váldez and sister, Lucy Váldez.
Felipita is survived by her daughter, Diane Herrera, granddaughter, Natalie Martínez, brothers, Leonard Váldez and Raymond Váldez and his wife, Betty, sisters, Catalina Whisenhunt, Rosalie Fielding and Mildred Atencio and her husband, Felix and sister, Marcella Váldez.
A visitation will take place on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 11:00 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m., all at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 3:00 p.m.
