Roger Ryan, aged 35 years, died on Sunday evening at his home, No. 214 South Broadway, leaving a widow and a family of ten children. The deceased had been sick ten months dying of cancer caused by army service in a saddle as a member of Co. E. 5th Illinois Cavalry. He was a coal miner by occupation. The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Catholic church.
