JD Olinger was born in Foyil, Oklahoma, on September 17, 1934, to Herschel Olinger and Martha (Boling) Olinger. JD passed away on Febraury 25, 2014, in Odessa, Texas. Growing up in the Baron Community of Adair County, JD attended school in Westville and graduated from Westville High School in 1952. In 1957 he enlisted in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1959. He then returned to working at the Highway Department and retired after 43 years. In 1964 he married Theora Catcher in Tahlequah and had shared over 49 years of marriage. JD enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his children and family. JD coached little league baseball and volunteered his time at Braggs High School, helping them to win 3 state titles. He was a long time Mason having been a member of the Westville and Tahlequah Lodges. JD is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Herschel Olinger; and brother Herschel Junior Olinger.
