Nora Mae Yeats

Nora Mae Yeats was born September 6, 1928 to Gus and Lillie Mae Gilleland. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2007, after a long battle with emphysema, she was 78. Nora Mae married Leslie Allen Yeats February 9, 1945 in Taft, Texas where they raised their five children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, one daughter, Wanda Jean Yeats and one son, Allen Yeats, Jr. Her hobbies included baking, needle work, sewing,gardening and catering to her grandchildren. She was world renowned
for her cinnamon rolls. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sinton.

She leaves behind three daughters: Judy Nolen of Lake Jackson, Linda and husband, Frank Polderman of Sinton, Texas, Jolene and husband, Jerry Bevers of Grand Prairie, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Linda Yeats and a special devoted niece, Cathy Hord; her sister, Joyce Gossett of Swinney Switch, Texas. She had eight grandchildren: Amy
Bravenec, Shelly Waters, April Sturm, Stephanie Kelch, Corey Brittain, Dustin Kelch, Ashley Yeats and Jason Brittain; seven great grandchildren: Kristin Fortenberry, Kenneth Bravenec, Stormy, Colby and Chance Waters, Laylin and Linlee Sturm.

Special thanks to Dr. Jackson Chen, Christina Palomo and all those that gave such loving care to our mother. She was loved very much and will be dearly missed until we see her again.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel, with Sam Lankford, officiating.
Interment will follow in Taft Memorial Park in Taft, Texas
