Ronald was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paige and Sallie Ake, and his wife of 39 years, Lee Ake (1995).
Ronald was born December 29, 1930 in Moultrie, GA, moved to Tampa FL in 1944 and joined the Navy in 1950. On December 14, 1956 he married the former Leona Alice Titchen at Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA.
Ronald retired from the US Navy as Master Chief Electronic Technician and again as the computer technician from Motorola for the Va Beach, VA Police Station.
A special thank you to all of Dad's nurses and medical staff for his care this past year. Especially to his 'jewel' Brenia and the exceptional VITAS hospice staff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27th at First Baptist of Golden Gate, 2741 Santa Barbara Blvd, Naples, FL 34116, Evangelist John E. Rogers will be officiating.
Ronald will be laid to rest with full military honors at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
