The funeral of Charles A. Barger, who died Monday morning, took place from his residence Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Short services were conducted by Rev. E. E. Barger [should be Burgess] at the house and then the cortege proceeded to St. Mark's P. E. church at Petersville, where services were held and interment made in the graveyard adjoining. The Loyal lodge of Knights of Pythias assembled at their hall and marched in body to the house. The following members acted as pallbearers. Richard Funk, A. Haller, Frank Chambers, Peter Detrick, A. M. Thomas and E. H. Brooks. A large number of floral designs literally covered the casket and filled the parlor. At the grave the Knights of Pythias held their service. C. H. Feete & Bro. were the undertakers in charge.
