Albert Edmond Butcher, age 83 of Barnsdall Oklahoma passed away Saturday February 22, 2014 at his residence. Albert was born October 6, 1930 to Elmer Ransom and Ada Belle (Barham) Butcher at Wynona, Oklahoma. Albert was a life-long area resident going to school in Mound Valley. Albert married Wanda Montgomery November 15, 1947. Albert was a rancher and enjoyed working with his cattle and being on the ranch.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, one granddaughter- Dana McKinney, and one great granddaughter- Brittany Butcher.
Funeral services for Albert were Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wynona Assembly of God Church with Pastor David Downing officiating. Music selections were "The Dance", "Go Rest High On That Mountain" sung by Wilbur Lee Tucker and "Amazing Grace" sung by Ruth Downing. Casket Bearers were George (Porky) Roberts, Terry Lemons, Jason Howell, Albert Gene Butcher, Lee West, Wes Butcher and honorary casket bearers were Bill Smith and Don Lane.
Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home of Hominy, Oklahoma.
