The body of Private First Class Clarence Lorin Gaskins will arrive here this afternoon from Korea.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at the Antioch Church , two miles north of Coffee County, with the Rev. W.L. Barber of Waycross following burial into Damascus Cemetery .

Members of the local VFW post and the American Legion will serve as Pallbearers and given Honors at the grave side.

Clarence's parents Eddie Vickers Gaskins and Ruby Luke Gaskins are deceased so he was reared by Mr. & Mrs. R.B. Vickers.

He enlisted in the Army September 1, 1949 and in January 1950 he was sent to Japan then to Korea on July 14th and on July 20 he was reported MISSING IN ACTION.
Age 21 years old at this time and a member of the 24th Infantry Division.

PFC Gaskins is a graduate of Bacon County High School and attended an electrical school in Chicago.
His brother, Henry Gaskins was KILLED IN ACTION in Italy in the World War II at the age of 22 years.

Fisher Bingmun Gaskins of Nashville
Marcus Newton Gaskins of Jacksonville
Hershel Edward Gaskins of Alma
Billy Gaskins of Coffee
