Charles S. (Red) Coss, 46, died Friday at his home in Peoria Heights. Born at Bloomington June 16, 1915 to Scott & Lucinda (Waltz) Coss, he married Bernadine Yates at Havana May 7, 1949. Surviving are his wife; his mother of Normal; one daughter Mrs Marilyn Wolf of Bloomington; one stepson William Demeron of Macon, MO; and one brother Harold Coss of Rossville." In 1940, he was living in Bloomington, married to Margaret, father of Marilyn. He received the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart during WWII. The headstone was applied for by a Georgia Coss, listed as his widow, and living in Missouri.
