OBITUARY :
WILLIAM A. OLLER, 67, of 5415 Polktown Road, Waynesboro, died Friday afternoon, May 4, in the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past six years and critically ill for the past six months.

Born December 27, 1922, he was the son of the late Silas D. and Hilda (Fowler) Oller.

Mr. Oiler lived all his life in the Waynesboro area and was a graduate of the Waynesboro High School in 1941.

He and his wife, Doris B. (Brown) Oller were married in June, 1945 and lived at their present residence for the past 18 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War in the European Theater. Following his discharge, he worked at the Letterkenny Army Depot for a number of years. He opened and operated Oller's Tavern on Fifth St. from 1949 to 1968 and then worked as an expeditor at Grove Manufacturing until his disability retirement in 1984.

Mr. Oiler was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, the Eagle's Club, Incorporated, the Morris
Frook American Legion Post No. 42, Hagerstown and the William McLaughlin V.F.W. Post 695.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo Oller of Waynesboro and Tricia O. Cline of Rouzerville; one son, William F. "Duck" Oller of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Oller of Waynesboro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, in the St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Hemler officiating. Following the Mass, the
body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Grove Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 8:30 p.m.
