Oliver Street Clifton, 77 of Paragould, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on April 20, 1936 in Alabama, he was a carpenter.
Survivors include: his wife, Mamie Elnore Clifton of Paragould, one sister, Linda Clifton Reeves of Middleburg, Florida, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents Jess and Lena Clifton, one daughter, Anita "Clifton" Weaver, one son, Dewayne Clifton, one grandson, Fred Shannon Clifton, one great grandson, Zachry Dale Cline, two brothers, W.B. Clifton, Hubert Clifton and five sisters, Louise, Lular, Martha, Ruth and Jenetta.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Don Slatton officiating; burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include: David Timms, Devin Davis, Dewayne Cook, Tristen Griese, Ricki Timms and Keith Cook
