Daughter of F Cornie Brown (who was a junior editor and one of the proprietors of the Corning Daily Democrat newspaper) - and Kate V Ingersoll, daughter of Dr Andrew J Ingersoll, who ran the Pinewood Sanitarium in Corning.

Kate (her mother) died in June 1887 - see photo, a newspaper clipping of Lenore's obituary from the Fulton History website.

The obituary indicates Lenore was buried next to her mother who died 3 June 1887. The service was held in Pinewood Cure, Knoxville.

Knoxville was a village that was incorporated into Corning, basically what is now informally called north Corning. More information is available at the Steuben County Historical Society.
