Harold was born Febuary 1, 1941 to Theodor and Velma (Timme) Beikmann of rural Clifton, KS. He was baptized Feb 5, 1941 and was confirmed on April 3, 1955 at Immanuel Church, Linn KS by Reverend John Kovac. Harold attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated Linn High School in 1959.

He served two years in the US Army, from 1962 to 1964 and spent the rest of his life as a member of Palmer Legion Post #383.

On August 6, 1967 he united in marriage to Arlene Helms at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Linn KS. This union was blessed with 4 children, Mel, Mike, Bernita and Mark.

Harold was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the choir, and held several positions on the church council. He was a member of Linn Lutheran School Assn and served on the school board.

Harold raised hogs and cattle in rural Palmer perfecting the art of silo packing. He operated HB Corral Construction, serving stockman in surrounding states for several years, until his retirement.

Harold never really retired. After moving to Palmer, he spent his days building his Model A, restoring antique tractors, and creating a scale model of the Linn-Palmer community in the former barber shop. He also enjoyed gardening, keeping Arlene in a constant supply of rhubarb for her world famous pies.

Retirement was also interrupted each week with a trip to Clay Center where Harold and Arlene operated the Sale Barn Cafe.

Harold was preceded in death by his twin brother Darold August, his parents Theodor and Velma (Timme) Beikmann, a nephew Timothy Schotte, and his brother Kenneth.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene, three sons Mel (Lori) of Hanover KS, Mike (Kristy) Clifton, Mark (Amanda) Palmer, KS. and one daughter, Bernita (Rick)Myers, Dallas TX.
