1913-2001
SOUTH PARIS--Eleanor R. Marcotte, 87, of Norway died Wednesday, Feb 21, at the Maine Veterans Home.
She was born in Norway, Oct. 5, 1913, the daughter of Odell Sr. and Esther Anderson Rich. She graduated from Norway High School in the class of 1930. She worked for the telephone company for 45 years as an operator and supervisor. She married Francis I. Marcotte on July 30, 1942. She was a life member of the Granite Chapter 115 Order of the Eastern star at West Paris. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked to ride in the country, she also enjoyed boating.
She is survived by her husband of Norway; a son, Thomas J. and his wife Joan of Strong; a grandson, Thomas A and his wife Stephanie of Bangor; one granddaughter, Tracy and her husband Steve Ludwig of Hawaii; two great granddaughters, Devin and Cailyn also of Hawaii; and two great-nieces.
She was preceded by a brother, Odell Rich Jr.; and a sister, Frances Eastman.
