Bryson, 208 North Centre Street, and the late Elizabeth (McGreevy) Bryson, who was found dead Thursday in the doorway of a business building in Baltimore, has been brought to the Stein Funeral Home here. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a. m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery."
Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Thursday, November 11, 1948 "Local Man Found Dead In Baltimore--James Stephen Bryson, 33, formerly of this city, was found dead this morning in the doorway of a business building in Baltimore. Baltimore police said the body was found in the doorway at 7:15 a. m. Bryson had been employed as an electrician by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Baltimore. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of James P. Bryson, 208 North Centre Street, and the late Elizabeth (McGreevy) Bryson. Patrolman Wilbert F. Sudmicr and Bernard W. Coll of the Baltimore police, said Bryson had been living at a rooming house until about a week ago. The medical examiner is investigating to determine the cause of death. Bryson attended LaSalle here and was in the Air Corps during World War II. Surviving besides his father, who works for the Potomac Edison Company, are a sister, Mrs. Melissa {sic-Melita} Moore, this city, one niece and a nephew. The body will be brought to the Stein Funeral Home."

Kilkenny, pastor, was celebrant. Rev. Thomas A. Hardesty, deacon, and Rev. John U. Lyness, sub-deacon. Pallbearers were Stanley Bryson, Timothy Cullen, John Cullen, Bernard McGreevy, James Kenny and Gerry Bryson. Interment was in the church cemetery with full military honors by Fort Cumberland Post No. 13, American Legion."
